Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Candidate is an experienced visualization developer with development experience using Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, or other similar visualization tools.

  • The ideal candidate is comfortable using SQL to query large databases. Able to create ad-hoc queries and complex stored procedures to be used in reporting tools.

  • Must have advanced level experience with Excel.

  • Analyze data sets to provide insights, feedback, and recommendations.

  • Collaborates and works well with users and other stakeholders to define detailed requirements.

  • Updating/transition existing set of reports/dashboards

  • Developing new and/or optimizing current dashboards

  • Designs intuitive user interface solutions that meet user requirements for accessing and analyzing data.

  • Works with the data development architects to optimize reporting structure and performance.

  • Develops supporting documentation for processes and reporting for use as instructional guidance and informational education.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in developing visualizations using Tableau or other similar tools. (Portfolio strongly recommended)

  • 3+ years of SQL experience

  • Advanced skills with Excel

Critical Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships and ability to work with business and system owners to obtain requirements and manage expectations.

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Good understanding of database structure and architecture and the Data Warehouse/Data Mart model

  • 3+ Years of building visualization using Tableau or similar tools.

  • Create visualizations including pie and bar charts, geographic maps, heat maps, tree maps, scatter plots, bubble diagrams, histograms, bullet charts, highlight tables, box charts, butterfly charts, and more.

  • Experience writing SQL, PL/SQL Scripts
